Bio

Maya Satterberg is currently a third-year illustration student in the Honors Program at The School of Visual Arts. She is based in Brooklyn, New York and works primarily in watercolor.  

Some of her recent projects include Visceropolis, a series of three watercolor illustrations dealing with alienation and agoraphobia previously on view at the SVA Chelsea Gallery, Froth on the Daydream, a series of seven illustrations based on the seminal French surrealist novel of the same title, and Galatea’s Assembly, a work seeking to take apart and retell the myth of Pygmalion.
